okay locationworn carpetssmall portion
the location was okay, i guess (nothing to write home about, though).
the carpets in the public areas seemed pretty worn, giving the place a stale, musty smell, not exactly inviting. also, dessert wasn't an option after 7 pm, even though we'd ordered dinner just after 6 pm and it took a while to arrive. my salmon and scrambled egg at breakfast consisted of a very small portion.

Absolutely Fantastic Stay!

comfy bedfriendly staffpoor signal
The room was very comfy and the bed provided excellent rest. The staff gave a friendly welcome and were accommodating. The breakfast included a good selection of items and the portions were generous (the coffee was good!). I was only about a 2 minute walk from the start of the South West Coast Path.
The TV signal was spotty. It made watching anything difficult.
Facilities

The hotel features a pub on the ground floor, with a selection of drinks (local ales included) and meals. Breakfast is served daily in the dining area from 8:30 am and offers a varied menu with hot and cold options.

The breakfast was substantial (a full english with all the trimmings). Staff members were friendly and cute upon arrival. My room had tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and biscuits, a nice touch after a day out. The room also had an extra heater, which i found useful on cooler evenings.
The bathroom door was difficult to close completely, a small inconvenience.

Acceptable stay, some issues

great locationmusty smellsmall sink
The location was great for walking the coast path.
My room smelled musty. The tv was tiny and positioned far from the bed so i couldn't really see it, and the bathroom sink was unusually small making it hard to fill the kettle.
